Mission Beach Cassowary

We left Whimsey in Bowen and travelled on the bus to Mission Beach to visit Mike and Tara - formerly on Catalpa - in their own patch of rainforest Eden. It was a packed weekend with Cassowary families wandering up the drive, leeches in the garden and snakes in the wall!! Great to catch up with Mike, Tara and Tia all doing very well and thriving on land.

HI guys! Nice bird - have I seen it somewhere? Where are you now? Thank you for the great card - I've set it on a shelf and have a laugh every time I look at it! I"m getting much fatter now - I do look pregnant now! WE're good - guess what, we sold Catalpa! can you believe it. Sad but very necessary. The new owners are already on board, two days after Mike finished putting the "new" engine in. we motored her for the first time in years back to the marina. Just a few more things like regrigeration and a few brackets for the engine, and we're done. Now we can pay attention to Nora.Phew, too many boats! Mike finished in Port Douglas, and we're looking around at businesses here - wish us luck! Hope to hear from you soon....take care...Tara and Mike and Tia and unborn Bub
